Our treatment services consists of several units that make up our continuum of care, which are phases of treatment each client are recommended to complete to further strengthen their preparation for recovery. These units are as follows:

Primary Care (4 months)

A residential/inpatient program in which clients will be educated about chemical dependency as part oftheir life’s condition and given the tools to deal with it, through the facilitation of the 12 steps philosophy and disease model of addiction. Other aspects of the program will include group therapy, family sessions, recreational and physical programs, optional religious classes, psychiatric and psychological services.

The main elements found within primary care:

  • - 12 steps philosophy/disease model of addiction
    - Family involvement
    - Multidisciplinary care (involving other experts such as psychiatrists, nurses, recreational specialists, HIV experts, etc)
    - Education
    - Individualized treatment

  • Halfway House (2 - 4 months)

  • Clients that successfully complete the primary care program will need an adjustment period to re-integrate them back into mainstream society. This is where the Halfway House program can help by providing them with safe and supportive environment while encouraging them to gradually assumes their roles and responsibilities in the outside world. Clients will live in this halfway house where there will be limited supervision and structure , while pursuing their various goals in life (jobs, schools, etc).

  • Aftercare (2 - 4 months)

  • Clients that demonstrate significant lifestyle change and sound consistency in maintaining it will be approved to live outside of the halfway house, while still being monitored by staff members. This phase is called aftercare, where clients will assume even more responsibilities in their own self-care. A successful completion of this phase will mark the end of clients’ treatment program with Bali Nurani.
